The present Ref. 1665 is an example of a Mark II dial variation of the Double Red Sea-Dweller. The dial offers a subtle warm tone throughout, standing out in contrast to the black bezel.

Distinguished by two lines of red type applied directly to the dial, "SEA-DWELLER" is written in a larger type than "SUBMARINER 2000." Further, the Rolex coronet is highly distinctive on Mark II dials as it appears smaller, with a diminutive "o" base.
