This incredibly rare and possibly unique watch contains such intricate details, incredible design and complication to give the piece an air of an independent watchmaker; an example of a wristwatch made by Franck Muller in the early period of the company.
The movement combines a perpetual calendar and equation of time with minute repeater. This combination is housed in an impressive 39 mm platinum case with Officier lugs, taking visual inspiration from the Muller's time at Patek Philippe.
After his formal education in the Watchmaking School of Geneva, Muller made a name for himself in repairing fine quality watches for museums and private individuals. He maintained and restored many of the watches in the Patek Philippe collection, still available at the Patek Philippe Museum today. Inspired to eventually produce his own masterpieces, Franck Muller made highly complicated commission pieces for his private clients. The house of Franck Muller was formally debuted in 1992, creating more commercial, and sportier contemporary watches with more even branding.
This unique lot presents the opportunity to own a highlight from the very beginning of a sensational and illustrious career.
