Launched in 1968 and produced for 12 years, the case of the reference 3558 is considered ‘Tonneau’ in shape, bearing large lugs and a 11mm thickness. Made by Wenger, this case is waterproof, with a screw-down base back and Calatrava cross crown. The movement is the caliber 12 460 (mono-date) with 37 jewels, Giromax balance, and massive gold rotor also used in reference 3445. Dials were made by Stern Freres and featured gold baton applied indexes or painted in later variants the signatures were engraved hard enamel also featured pearl engraved minute track.
