The reference 2551 was one of Patek Philippe’s earliest automatic wristwatch models and featured their first and most revered automatic movement, the caliber 12-600 also used in reference 2526. In fact, 14 references in total shared this legendary movement, produced in circa 7,100 examples. Its 2 piece Wenger-made case is complimented by its Stern Freres dial, made in 5 different variations. The current example features the applied bullet indexes with a double index at 12.
