Northern Song / Jin dynasty

北宋 / 金 白釉瓜棱式高足蓋罐一對


each of compressed hexalobed globular form standing on a tall splayed foot and surmounted by a straight cylindrical mouth and domed cover, the cover with an upturned six-petal rim and a coiled finial in the form of a stem, all under a creamy translucent ivory-tinged glaze, the base unglazed to reveal the fine white body (4) 


Height 5¾ in., 14.5 cm
