清末 翠玉雕仿古饕餮紋靈芝耳活環蓋瓶


of flattened baluster form, rising from a pedestal foot to a waisted neck flanked by a pair of handles each shaped as two lingzhi heads suspending a loose ring, the body carved with low-relief taotie and scroll brackets between a row of upright lappets, pendent stiff leaves, and keyfret bands, the domed cover with a Buddhist lion-form finial, the stone a pale bluish-celadon variegated with white and apple-green, wood stand (3)

Gifted to the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn, in 1963 (acc. no. 63.6.25).
