Property From The Family Of Richard P. Feynman
[Feynman, Richard P.]
"Entropy. Irreversibility."
Pencil on thick white artist's paper (8 3/4 x 12 inches), evidence of removal from spiral notebook, titled lower right in Feynman's hand "ENTROPY. IRREVERSIBILITY." Unsigned.
A BEAUTIFUL WORK, ELEGANTLY DEPICTING THE CONCEPTS OF ENTROPY AND IRREVERSIBILITY.
In 1962, at the age of 44, Feynman began learning to draw, and developed into a talented artist over the years, often working with live models in his home, or simply sketching the people around him, and eventually began signing his works under the pseudonym "Ofey." His artwork has been published in The Art of Richard P. Feynman. Images by a Curious Character. All other artworks we have seen by Feynman depict concrete subjects, such as humans or animals; this is the only example we know of in which he depicts abstract scientific concepts. Artwork by Feynman is extremely rare on the market.
