of slightly tapering tubular shape, the body of patterned grey agated decorated with pierced chased scrollwork, the collar with a white enamel border inscribed: l'amitie vous l'offre, the top and bottom with a gold sliding panel revealing the lenses of each end of a telescope, complete with gold and steel implements, including scissors, a tweezer, a miniature sabre and a pencil holder, later French hibou control marks,
