the top hinged lid opening to reveal a small storage compartment, the reverse of the lid with a carved relief depicting a hunting scene, the doors each with a relief depicting a female figure, the left example holding a rose and a basket of fruits, the right example holding an anchor, opening to reveal a central niche flanked by an arrangement of small drawers, eleven in total, elaborately carved with mythological scenes, on a long drawer carved with flower motifs
