Played with the Grateful Dead and Jerry Garcia Band

Godchaux originally used concert grand pianos live, but added the Rhodes to his setup in 1973, keeping the instrument as a mainstay of his live sound in the mid-seventies.

Mickey Hart Tweeted an image on 19 July, 2020 of Godchaux at the Rhodes in honor of the keyboardist’s birthday.
