Rivera Guitar Combo Amp — A gift to Jerry Garcia & Steve Parish from the maker, Paul Rivera

Guitar amp (12 x 26.5 x 21”). 100 Watt, 2 x12, JBL speakers, black carpet cloth cover. Serial number: 09000/7M1.

“Big” Steve Parish: “In the late summer of 1989, Jerry Garcia and I, Steve Parish, flew back from a vacation in Hawaii directly to the Biltmore Hotel in Los Angeles to participate in an HBO Latin Music tribute show featuring Jerry Garcia, Carlos Santana, Celia Cruz, and Tito Puente. We met Paul Rivera, who developed this amp and he presented Jerry with this amplifier at this show. This amp is extremely versatile and very reliable. Jerry liked the tone and he played it on a couple of tunes at this session. (Paul Rivera started out at Fender and then started his own company in 1976).”
