Hand-blown bottle. Recorked at the Château in 1994. New capsule and label applied in 2020

Made from old vines and, at 113 years old, this had a lovely, fragrant, woodsmoky nose and delicious sweetness on the palate, quite extraordinary for its age and for the late, small vintage which is hardly known. Good weather during picking produced this wonderful surprise. Serena Sutcliffe, MW
