Each decanter, lovingly designed by Sir David Adjaye, is individually numbered.This decanter is #1, the very first bottle to hold the world's oldest whisky.

Distilled on 3rd February 1940, bottled on 5th February 2020, cask number 340, first fill Sherry butt, included with the lot are two Sir David Adjaye Artistry in Oak tumblers, a one-of-one signed lithograph of Sir David’s original concept drawings and a framed original cask head of Cask 340

Unique & Rare Whisky Tasting Experience For Four In London
As part of the lot the successful bidder will receive an exceptionally rare and exclusive tasting which will be conducted by Gordon & MacPhail’s Director of Prestige, Stephen Rankin and attended by Sir David Adjaye.

The attendees with stay at a five-star hotel in London for one night.
The whisky experience in London is to be held no later than 31st December 2022, unless international travel restrictions prevent the experience from taking place, in which case the date will be extended by one year.
The buyer will provide Gordon & MacPhail with at least five potential dates in which to attend the experience. Gordon & MacPhail will seek to arrange for Sir David Adjaye’s attendance on these dates, and if it is not possible to do so, provide the buyer with three alternative dates.
