The limited-edition Nike Air Force 1 Low PlayStation sneaker was a collaboration between Sony’s PlayStation and Nike. Each of the 150 pairs have their own unique ‘serial number’ and feature an embroidered PlayStation logo on the heel. Purple laces were added as a nod to PlayStation’s signature color. The most notable of the 150 hand-selected recipients of the shoe was Kobe Bryant, the face of the Sony-exclusive “NBA” video game franchise. 

In 2020, the PlayStation and Nike partnership was reimagined through the lens of Travis Scott, bringing the PlayStation Air Force 1 back into the contemporary sneaker conversation. Similar to the original 2006 release, the Nike Travis Scott Dunk Low PlayStation commemorated Sony’s new console, the PlayStation 5. A second iteration of the Nike and Sony partnership has made the original 2006 all the more coveted.
