This classic rectangular Cartier has a reversible case similar to the one made famous by the Jaeger-LeCoultre Reverso. By sliding it out, it may be turned and put back in place so the glass is perfectly protected and only the metal back case is shown. Most notably, this mechanism was used for Polo players in order to avoid damage to the glass.
