Born to one of the most famous lineages of tool watch, the 'no-date' Rolex Submariner succeeds some of Rolex's most classic and desirable wristwatches such as the 5513 and James Bond's 6538.
The watch differs from other submariners in that it does not feature a date at 3 o'clock an attribute that has proven a contentious one among watch collectors. This new model released in 2020 is testament to the slow evolution of the model; it maintains many of the original design characteristics identified by aficionados throughout it's history. It was granted a fresh, more modern look in 2012 when the bezel was changed from aluminium to Cerchrome, and then, with teh introduction of the present reference the entire case was enlarged from 40 mm to 41 mm.
