bombé oval body with scroll handles and on four scroll feet, engraved on both sides with contemporary arms in rococo cartouches, the cover chased with spreading lobes and flutes, finial formed as an heraldic lion passant standing on a leaf spray

The arms are those of Bryan impaling de Rutant for George Bryan of Jenkinstown, Co. Kilkenny and his wife Louisa Comtesse de Rutant daughter of the Count de Rutant of Lorraine whom he married in 1794; born in 1770, died in 1843.
