Literally meaning 'Lightning of God', Barakiel was the 9th Watcher of the 200 fallen angels. He appears in the Book of Enoch and the theosophical teachings of the 19th century Russian spiritualist Helena Petrovna Blavatsky. It was Barakiel who taught man the art of astrology and he is master of meteorological phenomena and electricity.
