Containing the complete text of the Constitution of the State of Alaska, as agreed upon by the delegates at the Alaska Constitutional Convention, held in Fairbanks at the University of Alaska, in February 1956. Congress outlined the terms of statehood in June 1958, and on 3 January 1959, President Eisenhower signed the proclamation declaring Alaska the 49th state.
