A collection of letters and documents, comprising:
i) Field Marshal Montgomery, black and white photograph of B.L. Montgomery and Louis Mountbatten, signed by B.L. Montgomery ("Montgomery of Alamein"), 105 by 165mm., stamped on verso by "Official War Office Photograph" and dated "17.8.44";
ii) Mary Soames, black and white signed photograph of her with her father Winston Churchill, signed and dated ("Mary Churchill | now Soames | 1942"), 177 by 128mm., copyright stamp on verso of Imperial War Museum;
iii) Mary Soames, typescript letter signed, to Peter Evans, thanking him for sending "the very jolly photograph", 1 page, 8vo, 14 May 1986;
iv) Winston Churchill, Christmas card with engraved message and colour print of "On the Var" by Churchill on cover, unsigned, c. 1950s;
