A collection of four documents signed, comprising:


i) George III, document signed, ordering a Court Martial for "Mutiny, Desertion and false Musters", countersigned by Lord Sydney, 2 pages, folio, papered seal, integral blank, 25 March 1789


ii) George IV, as Prince Regent, document signed, ordering the Great Seal to be attached to the instrument appointing Lionel Hervey secretary to the Ambassador to Bavaria, with a copy of the text of the instrument, countersigned by Castlereagh, altogether 5 pages, folio, papered seal, 5 January 1816


iii) Frederick, Duke of York, autograph letter in the third person, to J. Webster Wedderburn, 1 page, 4to, 28 October 1820, with envelope


iv) Queen Victoria, document signed ("App[rove]d VRI"), court martial, sentencing a soldier to five years penal servitude for insubordination and personal violence, 1 page, 8vo, with two red wax seal impressions, 2 October 1871
