i) George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, autograph letters signed, to Mr Thorniley, asking him to dine and "celebrate our victory", on "Southport Division Election, 1892" headed stationery, 1 page, 8vo, 13 July 1892;


ii) George Curzon, 1st Marquess Curzon of Kedleston, autograph letter signed, to Mrs Thorniley, on her husband's sudden death, ("...he always looked the incarnation of robust health... How often we have stood and fought side by side... & how greatly I have profited by his inspiring cooperation & counsel..."), 4 pages, 8vo, 4 Carlton Gardens, 20 July 1896;
