gouache heightened with gold on paper, inscribed above in black nasta’liqraja abhiraj singh jaswal pesar rai jaghar singh’ (Raja Abhiraj Singh Jaswal son of Rai Jaghar Singh), within narrow dark blue border, red rules and wider pink speckled margins, the reverse with similar identification inscriptions in black takri and blue devanagari script

Jaswan was a small Pahari kingdom located south of Kangra in the Punjab Hills. The ruling family of Jaswan was a branch of the Kangra family.
