fritware tile of rectangular form moulded and painted in underglaze cobalt blue, pink, turquoise and brown, outlined in black depicting Khosrow and an attendant on horseback spying Shirin bathing, set amidst a leafy glade with grape vines and palaces in the background, with a border of floral scrolls


41 by 53cm. 

Ex-collection Cecil Jermyn Brown, Professor at Lucknow University, 1900-20.
