Adam Stamp

Adam Stamp (b. 1985, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA) received a BA in Art History from University of Oregon, Eugene, and an MFA from ArtCenter, Pasadena. His work across sculpture, installation, curation, exhibition design, drawing, and text addresses themes of gifting, hosting, service and (ab)use.  

Stamp’s work has been the subject of solo/two-person presentations at Indipendenza, Rome; Treignac Projet, France; Artissima, Turin; Art Toronto, Canada; Amor, Mexico City; Salon / Art Berlin, Germany; and Club Pro and O-Town House, Los Angeles. Currently, his bar/sculpture, The Slippery Slope, is on view at the Aspen Art Museum through May 2022. His writing has been published in Spike Art Magazine and Mousse, for which he received the cover of issue #66, in 2019. Stamp has curated exhibitions for ArtCenter College of Design (2019, 2020) and Aspen Art Museum (2021). He is the founder of New Low, a sculpture-forward exhibition space and editions maker in Los Angeles.

Upcoming projects include solo presentations at Private Places, St. Louis (fall 2021), O-Town House, Los Angeles (October 2021), Studioli, Rome (April 2022), and Local 1, Mexico City (February 2022). Gourmet Bathing, co-curated with Marta Fontolan, is scheduled for Spring 2022 at Indipendenza, Rome. A two person, traveling exhibition with Olivia Erlanger will open in New York in September 2021, and is organized by curator Saim Demircan.

Adam Stamp is an Aries Sun, Pisces Moon, and Capricorn Rising. He lives and works in and out of Los Angeles.
