A large cinnabar lacquer bronze inlaid 'eight treasures' box and cover

Qing dynasty, Qianlong - Jiaqing period

circular, the cover decorated with the Eight Treasures amidst longevity shou medallions and wan symbols, inlaid in brass on a ground of churning waves, surrounded by four panels enclosing flower sprays reserved on a diaper ground, the base similarly decorated with a variety of flower panels against a diaper ground, the interior and the base lacquered black
