Predynastic Period (Naqada II)/1st Dynasty, circa 3500-2900 B.C.


of ovoid form with offset foot, tubular handles, and everted rim.

Height 12.7 cm.


private collection, Chicago and New York, likely acquired in Egypt in the 1920s
thence by descent to the present owner

There is an old number in black ink under the foot, “2808" or "28UB?”
