Description
Quartet Books, a collection of 131 volumes
Naim Attallah's personal collection, published by Quartet Books between 1974 and 1994, was exquisitely bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe with the original upper covers inlaid. Four works contain charming dedications from the author to Attalah, and these volumes were displayed in his office in West London. Notable authors include Abram Tertz, Peter Paul Fuchs, Julien Green and E. M. Cioran. Dedication copies include Tatsuichiro Akizuki, Nicholas Coleridge, J. P. Donleavy and Fleur Cowles.
Naim Attallah owned and directed Quartet Books from 1976, and this intimate collection is a testament to his adventurous spirit and success as a publisher.
