Louis Cartier, the founder of the brand is also the inventor of the tank in 1917. With inspiration drawn from a French tank used during the first World War, the watch has remained one of the brand’s most iconic models through the years. Whilst maintaining both the iconic outer rectangular and inner square shaped case, the present tank’s most exceptional feature would be the rows of diamonds along its band, as well as its timeless mirror polishing on the white gold bracelet.
