The reference 116400 was launched in 2007, reviving the Milgauss collection after decades of absence. The watch was conceived with engineers, geologists and all magnetic-related professionals, as it is able to cope with magnetic fields up to 1000 gauss (hence the name Mil-gauss). While many reference 114600 examples are fitted with the anniversary green sapphire crystal, the present piece, dated from 2007, bears the standard crystal.
The sobre dial bears splashes of orange to the 3, 6 and 9 o'clock indexes as well as around the outer minute track. The signature element of the timepiece is of course its lighting bolt seconds hand, giving the watch a sporty and playful look.
