This present lot is an exceptionally rare and incredibly collectible stainless steel 'Lange 1'. A. Lange & Söhne officially released models only in precious metals, and only a few pieces are known to have left the manufacture cased in stainless steel. While the company from Glashütte never publicly disclosed the exact number of watches they produced in steel, research suggests the number to be below 30 pieces, all made upon request from important clients or retailers.
The present example bears the correct reference number 101.026 and is fitted with the acclaimed calibre L901.0.
