Please note that the condition report has been updated to reflect a small chip to the edge of the crystal at 6 o’clock, visible on the images.

Reference 6262 was the last Daytona reference to be fitted with pump pushers and differed from its sister model ref. 6241, which was fitted with an acrylic calibrated bezel instead of the present steel one. The reference was first introduced in 1970 and was powered by the new 727 Valjoux calibre.

The present lot is a very attractive piece that is offered after having received a complete service by Rolex. It has therefore regained almost its original factory finish with sharp lugs and nice metal-brushed finishing, making it incredibly appealing on the wrist.
