Daniel Roth was founded in 1989 by eponymous watchmaker following great contributions to the watchmaking industry, notably at Breguet where he oversaw the development of Nouvelle Lémania ébauche movements supplied to many fellow watchmaking brands. The Daniel Roth company is managed alongside its sister entity Gerald Genta, and was acquired by the Bulgari group in 2000.

The present white gold watch showcases the signature case shape, referred to as tonneau or barrel shaped. The elegant guilloché dial strongly advocates Daniel Roth's expertise gained at Breguet. It elegantly displays all the relevant perpetual calendar information, including the day, date and month, coupled with a moon-phase and a leap-year indicator. The very contained production levels of such a small brand make the present lot a rare opportunity to acquire both a rare and innovative piece evidencing a host of tributes to the golden age of craftsmanship.
