Rolex discontinued the GMT-Master II reference 16710 in 2007, replacing it with its novel counterpart, the present 116710LN. Introduced two years prior with the launch of the yellow gold model, the new maxi-case design was rolled out to the much expected stainless steel version. The 116710LN is the only stainless steel modern GMT-Master II reference fitted with a monochromatic black bezel, making it a unique proposition in today's market. The reference 116710 was ultimately discontinued in 2018 and replaced with the subsequent 126710, currently only available on a Jubilée bracelet and with bi-colour bezels: black and red or black and blue.
The present example is nicely preserved. It dates from 2008 and is offered with its full suite of accessories, down to the original sales and chronometer tags.
