Haute Couture Full Length Dress with Extended Tail, Designed and Worn by Sherihan on the Television Show “Alf Layla Wa Layla ('Thousand and One Nights')” in 1987. Executed in the Atelier by Adnan Akbar.


Embroidered silk dress with long sleeves, pleating and extended tail. It took seven months at the Adnan Akbar atelier for this dress to be completed for Sherihan. Made entirely by hand and covered in gold and pink metallic embroidery. The silk fabric is off-white with yellow hues.

Some threads loose at the front bottom part of the dress which cause three decorative fabric pieces to hang loose. Additionally, some threads hanging loose in various areas.

She has worked in theatre, cinema and television and is one of the most iconic symbols of the holy month of Ramadan in the Middle East through her television series “Fawazeer Al Amthal.” She is a fashion icon known for her innovative and unconventional style.
