Full Length Haute Couture Gown with Thigh High Slit, Long Sleeves, Boat Neckline and a Burst of Sequins Cascading Down the Gown. In 'Apple' colour. Worn by Emma Stone at the 87th Academy Awards, 2015

The dress is made of 8m of embroidered tulle with silk thread, 4000 sequins and 3m of silk chiffon. It took 80 hrs of pattern making by one pattern maker and assistant, 190 hrs of stitching by two tailors and two petites mains, as well as 250 hrs of embroidery by four embroiderers.

Through this Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2015 collection, Beirut Chasing a Dream, Elie Saab intended to share his vision of Beirut, a place that continues to inspire his work. The ethereal fabric embodies his childhood's summer breeze, just like the soft green of his blooming springs. He paid homage to the people of this city who never stopped dreaming, who never stopped believing. With this collection, Elie Saab wished to celebrate Beirut by bringing its loving spirit, its elegance, and its douceur de vivre.
