Cheltenham Racecourse at Prestbury Park, near Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, is notable for its hosting of National Hunt horse racing, including the Cheltenham Festival. The March event features several Grade I races including the Cheltenham Gold Cup, one of the great jump races, won by King’s Company. As Michael Lyne depicts in the present work, the racecourse is set in a beautiful, natural amphitheater, just below the Cotswold Hills at Cleeve Hill.
