AUTOGRAPH LETTER SIGNED, TO THE EQUERRY IN WAITING TO PRINCE ALBERT, 


informing him that the bearer is Monsr Breguet, the current representative of the watchmaking family ("...who has with him some watches; which I thought it might be interesting to His Royal Highness or even to Her Majesty to look at..."), who has been invited to the palace by Prince Albert, 1 page, 8vo, 28 May 1845


The Duke of Wellington was a well-known client of Breguet. His collection included a piece by the watch-maker that had been commissioned by Joseph Bonaparte, brother of Napoleon, which Wellington purchased after the Battle of Waterloo in occupied Paris.
