Michel Cresson hailed from an important dynasty of Parisian menuisiers in the 18th century, based in the Rue de Cléry. Michel was active until 1776 and his clientele included the Prince de Condé and Louis XV's daughter Louise-Élisabeth, Duchess of Parma.
