the tall slightly rounded sides rising to an angled shoulder, columnar neck, and galleried rim, the body painted in bright cobalt tones with a narrative scene set outdoors with a supplicant kneeling before a scholar-official seated in a canopied wheeled sedan accompanied by two attendants and a warrior lifting a long polearm and preparing to charge at an opposing warrior advancing on horseback, a curtain in the background emphasizing the theatricality, the shoulder with shaped cartouches enclosing peony sprigs reserved against a diaper ground, bands of dots, crenulation, and chevrons at the neck and rim, now drilled and fitted for electricity
