2018 Mike Trout Game Used & Signed 25th Home Run Old Hickory Bat Inscribed "Home Run #25 Vs. LAD" (MLB Authenticated & Anderson)

You can’t get any closer to a professional athlete than possessing something he or she used during a game. In baseball, the ideal game used item is a bat, for that it is the primary tool used by a ballplayer to ply his trade. What makes a game used bat even more noteworthy is if it can be placed in the hands of a great player or to be able to pinpoint its use in a particular game or to have been used to record a specific achievement. This extraordinary bat checks all those boxes. This Old Hickory MT27* model bat was not only used by Mike Trout in a game, but it was used by the Angels superstar to club his 25th home run of the 2018 season. The homer came in the bottom of the sixth inning against the rival Los Angeles Dodgers at Angel Stadium. The Angels were down 2-0 when Trout faced Dodgers starter Ross Stripling with one out. Trout ran the count up to two balls and one strike when he got ahold of Stripling’s fourth pitch and drove it over the centerfield wall.

Two innings later, Trout faced Dodgers reliever Dan Hudson. After leading off with a strike, Hudson threw a 95.7 MPH four-seam fastball that Trout got a piece of, breaking the bat and fouling it off for strike two. The slugger returned the broken bat to the dugout and chose a new stick to finish his at bat. This is the bat Mike Trout used to hit his 25th home run of the 2018 season and 226th of his career. The Old Hickory MT27* model bat shows great game use with the aforementioned cracked handle. The barrel shows several ball marks and abrasions, one of which being from Trout’s home run number 25. A heavy coat of pine tar is on the upper handle and the lower portion has been wrapped in a black, yellow and red Lizard Skins to enhance the grip. Both ends of the bat shows scuffs and dings from contact with the ground. Ideally, Trout has signed the barrel in contrasting silver marking, inscribing, “HR #25 vs LAD” and “18 G/U.” A home run bat with everything you would want to find on the bat used by the best player in the game today. This bat comes with a LOA from Anderson Authentics (3897) for the game use and signature and MLB Authenticated hologram (JD239237) for the game use, authenticating that Trout used this bat for the last time during the July 7th, 2018 game in his bottom of the 8th inning at-bat.
