An uncommon botanical work, depicting exotic species in the Leiden herbarium

The present work was published from 1863-1869, with 40 plates on exotic species prepared from specimens in the Leiden Rijksherbarium, of which Miquel became director in 1862. The last complete set we could locate at auction sold in 1984.
