Prince Khosrow Mirza (1811–1883) was a Persian Prince of the Qajar Dynasty.

In 1829 the Prince was sent to St Petersburg as an envoy from the Shah of Iran to apologise for the horrible massacre in the Tehran embassy. Amongst dozens of other victims was the famous playwright and diplomat Alexander Griboyedov (1795-1829).

Khosrow Mirza was sent by his grandfather to appease Nicholas I and avoid another war with Russia. During this visit, the Shah Diamond was presented to the Tsar (now in the collection of the Diamond Fund in Moscow's Kremlin Armoury). In return, the prince and his entourage were presented many lavish gifts, including these porcelain plates.
