after the design by Alexandra Shchekotikhina-Pototskaya, the front of the cup painted with a red face with gilt details, within gilt ciselé décor, the reverse with a crowd of finely painted peasants, the saucer with matching green and gold foliate ornaments, with green Imperial cypher of Nicholas II dated 1914, with red factory marks dated 1922 and further inscribed ‘Sh’ in Cyrillic for Shchekotikhina

height of the cup 10cm, 4in., diameter of the saucer 16cm, 6 1/3in.
