This is an exceptionally rare Saul Bass poster. It was designed and printed for Saul Bass's own personal use, and not for sale or cinema use. It is thought that only fifty were printed by Art Krebs Studio, Los Angeles, which was just around the corner from Bass's design studio. Bass gave a number of these posters to friends and colleagues, and also used them to enter graphic design competitions.

This western is a remake Akira Kurosawa landmark 1954 drama Seven Samurai. The Magnificent Seven, directed by John Sturges and had a wonderful line-up of top actors including, Yul Brynner, Eli Wallach, Steve McQueen, Robert Vaughn, Charles Bronson and Brad Dexter. Although the film didn't receive good critical reviews, it has grown in stature of the years, and is now one of the most shown films on American television.
