This film was directed by Robert Altman. It was written by Ring Lardner Jr. and based on MASH: A Novel About Three Army Doctors, by Richard Hooker. The film stars Donald Sutherland, Elliott Gould, Tom Skerritte and Sally Kellerman. The film is about a medical personnel unit stationed at a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital during the Korean War. The horrors and stresses of the war are dealt with by means of humour and pranks, as those in the MASH unit attempt to keep their sanity.
