This French film was director by Luc Besson, and stars Jean-Marc Barr, Jean Reno and Rosanna Arquette. The true-life story of Jacques Mayol and Enzo Maiorca, friends and two of the leading champion free divers, was greatly adapted for this film. The film has become a cult-classic in the diving community, and one of France's most commercially successful films.

This poster was signed by Luc Besson at the BFI, London, at a screening of his film The Extraordinary Adventures of Adèle Blanc-Sec. It is rare for anyone to have an original film poster signed, as the majority of signatures are on pieces of paper, photographs and video/dvd sleeves. It is unusual to have the film's poster with you when you try to obtain signatures.
