William W. Robinson has kindly informed us that he believes the sitters in these portraits are Friedrich Wilhelm von Brandenburg (1620-1688), known as The Great Elector, and his first wife, Louise Henriette van Nassau (1627-1667). Their double portrait, painted in 1647 (the year after their marriage) by Gerard van Honthorst, is in the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam (Inv. SK-A-873).
