This evocative processional cross shares the same form as others from the Middle Byzantine period. Compare, for example, with the processional cross with St Anastasia, possibly from Constantinople, 10th-12th century, at the Ashmolean Museum, Oxford, ex Roper collection (inv. no. 1980.2).
