Other versions of this type include the paintings in the Ipswich Borough Council Collection, Colchester and Ipswich Museums Service (acc. no. R.1935-306)1, and the Government Art Collection, British Embassy, Copenhagen (acc. no. 3541).2
They are all based to some degree on the full-length portrait of Anne of Denmark, Queen of James I of England, by John de Critz the Elder, painted circa 1605-10, today in the National Portrait Gallery, London.3
